waiting for you

Playing my mind’s recollections
As the end of the day draws near
Reminiscing on the moments
When you were with me
Gazing at the starless sky
Seeking solace in the eve’s embrace
Listening through the silence
To hear your voice once more
And let the loneliness disappear
Though I seem lost and uncertain
With questions with no resolve
Shrouding my perception
Of the things I want to be
I find my way
With you
Doubts maybe raised and entertained
But it will just be a waste of time
For I would rather spend this instance
To catch the glimpse
Of your hand holding mine
And even if I wish
I had a thousand more
At least I had a chance
To say those three words
Before you had to go
And I stay.
