my mind had been wandering
alone and in despair
for life lost its meaning
though i hoped to find somewhere

the glamour of the days had faded
and the sun had lost its shine
and hope soon dissipated
for happiness to be mine

but then you shared your presence
and wiped away my tear
life soon regained its essence
